A list of online events that we’re super excited about!

The outbreak of COVID-19 means we have been thrust further into the world of online, but that doesn't mean we can't stay connected.

Whether you’re looking to learn something new, get support, or simply pass time, we have collated a list of online events/webinars that we are super excited about!

For children:

Tuesday 31st March, 8pm

GameJam – Make a video game with us!

Join them online for their first GameJam! During this class, you will learn how to create a retro-style game using Microsoft’s MakeCode Arcade. This FREE platform allows you to create your own art and play your game in real-time. You are limited only by your imagination!

This class will occur every Tuesday and Thursday at the same time.

STEM MODE IN – Week 2: Wednesday Tutorial (Youtube Livestream)

To make your time at home a bit more fun, we are putting together a series of ONLINE events and sessions: so stop what you’re doing and get your STEM MODE ON!

Each week you’re able to join us for the following online sessions on different weekdays: Monday Meal Plans, Wednesday Tutorials and Friday Lives at Five.

This event is themed around transitioning into tech/industry. There will be talks from women who will share their career journeys, experiences & advice in making this transition from academia.

Learn what changes and trends we are seeing in the world of work through technological disruption – the good and the not so good. Explore the workplace impact and effect of emerging technology, including AI and robotics, on women and across wider society (for example, across different demographics, job roles, industries and sectors)

Each one of us can play an active role in taking charge of managing our own stress levels and of those around us. And though de-stressing may seem difficult, it is not impossible. In this session, I will be discussing many revitalizing stress-busters you can indulge in from the comfort of your home or even at work.

Tech Returners – Pub Quiz

Join us on Friday 3rd April at 5pm as we nail down tools and join together virtually for a bit of fun and social interaction.

We’ll be hosting our Virtual Pub Quiz on Zoom with the opportunity to get social in the chat and join along with the quiz questions set by our Quiz Masters Bobby and Matt.
