Get Your Head Around Code

A free 2-hour session on the benefits of learning coding languages and techniques to improve career opportunities and skills. This workshop is ideal for those who are totally new to coding, people looking to take the first step into a possible new career and/or those who work with software developers and want to better understand what they actually do.

The session will cover:

The session will include practical examples, so please bring a laptop with you! This introduction into coding will be the perfect starter if you are fresh to the industry, alternatively, if you are already working in the tech industry these courses will be invaluable bolt-ons to your skills portfolio.

Your tutor is Jill Bouchard-Cross, a Senior Web Developer at the Very Group where she splits her time between building web pages for brands Very and Littlewoods, and managing a team of developers. A self-professed lifelong geek, she holds a Linguistics MSc specialising in Acoustic Phonetics and a Computer Science MSc in Information Systems Management.

This course is open to all aged 18+
