How to Celebrate International Women’s Day

Written by: Libby on February 5, 2026

Here at InnovateHer, we love International Women’s Day (IWD). It’s a day that we’re so excited to celebrate. A day that drives our message of equality and highlights the change that still needs to be made in society!

To celebrate International Women’s Day 2026, we’re delivering a pre-recorded event launching on Monday, March 2nd. You can get your school’s free ticket here. The free 40-minute session will feature InnovateHer Ambassadors who work in gaming, fashion, and social media, some of the companies include ASOS and PlayStation.

The theme for IWD 2026 is “Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls.”, a topic that highlights the importance of working to achieve equal rights, true justice and opportunities for all. In order to create a future where no one is left behind. A key part of achieving this is to empower the next generation in all areas, so that lasting change can be built.

InnovateHer’s International Women’s Day celebration provides a focus on this theme through interactive activities, inspiring speakers, and career showcases. The speaker will share their career journey and industries with students. Whether your students are excited about gaming, fashion, or social media, there’s something for everyone.

Why Attend InnovateHer’s International Women’s Day Event

Our event will introduce students to inspiring role models in the tech sector. Role models will speak about their careers and their journey in the industries of fashion, gaming and social media. Not only will the speakers introduce students to different careers, but also empower them to understand what they are capable of.

Students will be able to pre-submit questions to speakers, so they’re able to get the insights and advice that they want to discover.

Our pre-recorded event will be interactive, as each speaker will provide an activity for students to undertake that helps boost their engagement and skills across the areas of fashion, gaming, and social media.

We have actively worked to ensure our International Women’s Day event has the utmost flexibility for you and your students.

This is why we have done it as a pre-record, which means you will be emailed a link to the recording, which you can stream into your classroom at a time that best suits. It’s a great way to celebrate Women’s History Month in March!

It’s pivotal to us that our events are as accessible as possible, which is why we make our events free for schools.

AND we also want to make clear that all students, no matter their gender, are welcome to attend, as the event will inspire but also stress how important everyone is in building a better future!
