Earlier this year we announced our delivery partnership with Code & Stuff, a coding and networking community for women and non-binary developers and code newbies in Manchester. When we met the Founder, Fey Ijaware, we were in awe of her and the incredible work that she continues to do.
We were so inspired by Fey that we wanted to share her story with you…
Founder of CodePossibe, Code & Stuff and Lead Front-End Developer at DWP Digital.
My role as a Front-End Developer with the Department of Work and Pension Digital involves using my technical skills to help reimagine the digital public service and make a positive difference to the lives of millions of people that use the digital public service.
My role as a Founder of a tech platform and tech community for women and non-binary people involves using my knowledge, leadership and technical skills to educate, diversify tech, and make a positive impact for social good.
By being proactive and taking ownership for my own learning and development and career progression.
Don’t give up! Find a mentor, supportive community, or both. Don’t be afraid to fail, embrace failure and learn how to do better.
Follow Fey on Instagram and Twitter. And check out the next Code & Stuff event here.
