Written by: Libby on May 18, 2026

Want a simple, engaging way to bring the World Cup into your classroom without adding to your workload?

Look no further. InnovateHer is here to help. InnovateHer is celebrating the World Cup by bridging the worlds of Football and Tech.

We’re delivering a pre-recorded event launching on Wednesday, June 10th. The session is designed for classroom delivery, with built-in pauses and activities so students can take part using simple resources. You can get your school’s free ticket here

The 40-minute session will focus on how technology shapes the world of Football, from the players students know, data on how the game works and insights into working in football and tech.

Featuring InnovateHer Ambassador- Emma Meehan, who is the Founder, CEO & CTO of KinetikIQ, an organisation providing real-time feedback and analysis on exercise technique. KinetikIQ’s clients include teams in American leagues, MLB, NHL, and NWSL, as well as pilots across the Premier League, Champions League, and NFL.

Why Attend InnovateHer’s World Cup Event

With the event being a pre-record, it means you can stream it into your classroom at a time that best suits you. The event will be launched as part of a ‘kit’ which includes other activities, such as InnovateHer’s Sports Tech course, which means that you will have resources to use throughout the month of the World Cup!

This session supports Gatsby Benchmark 5 by connecting students with a real industry professional working at the cutting edge of sports technology, giving them meaningful insight into career pathways. Not only will the event introduce students to different careers in sports tech, but it will also empower them to understand what they are capable of.

Students will hear from Emma Meehan. The Founder, CEO and CTO of KinetikIQ, who works with elite sports teams to analyse performance using real-time data. She’ll share her career journey and what it’s really like working in sports tech.

InnovateHer’s pre-recorded World Cup event will be interactive. The event is built to include an activity that requires students to utilise data analysis to help them build their own dream team in football. Also, by signing up early, you will get access to the full resource pack first. A resource kit which includes videos from other role models and more activities for students to complete.
