As part of the overarching Corporate Marketing team, the Social Media team at Samsung is in a really exciting phase of development, we’re evolving strategy to be genuinely social first. Firstly, with the recruitment and onboarding of a new agency our desire to drive the business further as one, then additionally reinforced with the creation of a One Samsung team, which we sit within.
Role and Responsibilities
- Ensuring the Samsung social media channels are optimised for success in the UK – content planning, set-up, localisation, proactivity, reactivity.
- Provide advice and consultancy on development of social content and partnerships – how do we maximise earned media opportunities to deliver impactful earned campaigns
- Identify and exploit editorial opportunities across social platforms
- Working with the influencer teams to deliver the right influencer marketing strategy, campaign management and development.
- Create synergy across the One Samsung portfolio, Ensure divisional-led content is aligned to overall consistent look and feel / platform strategy
- Monitoring and tracking of social media networks for opportunities to engagement and risk and reputation management
- Maintain the relationship with our partner agencies and ensure we get the best out of them
- Develop strong relationships and integration with Product Marketing to ensure consistency across launch and always-on, helping translate business objectives to social media success and vice versa
- Develop strong relationships with the social team in HQ to ensure strong integration of HQ and local assets.
- Develop clear data reporting to ensure the business is always aware of effectiveness and efficiencies.
Skills and Qualifications

We’re looking for an individual who has a passion of social; first to spot trends, keen to give them a go, and eager to push us all. Social media savvy with the structure and ability to work (and thrive) in a super fast paced environment!
- Confident, vocal, passionate with the skills to help and bring people on a journey – working with peers and colleagues at various levels so an ability to adapt communication styles
- Agency experience valued – ability to lead multiple projects at the same time
- Flair for creative desirable, but active social knowledge imperative – a keen understanding of data and insights to ensure we are led by that!
- General use and awareness of Monday.com & Sprinklr preferred
- Knowledge of CapCut, Premiere Pro, Photoshop and Canva desirable
What does success look like?
The successful candidate will take on the task of managing and launching our next generation of devices, meeting objectives and pushing our social ambitions further with a #dowhatyoucant attitude.
- In the first 6-12 months, you’ll be helping work on flagship launch, as well as helping drive our new social strategy forward
- Success will be measured in meeting our social benchmarks, ensuring all content is purposeful and in line with our One Samsung social strategy
- Additionally, the candidate with work with the line manager to establish mid and long-term goals to ensure a successful integration within the team, driving impact and ensuring professional growth for the individual
