Software Development Apprentice
Having developed over seven previous apprentices with four progressing onto the Level 4 programme, 4Projects are experts in training apprentices successfully meaning you will be in great hands to build and expand your skills in a supportive environment.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate developer to gain real-life experience while learning new skills from an experienced mentor throughout the apprenticeship. No two days will be the same as you will be writing databases in SQL, developing, testing, and identifying bugs.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Software Development Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day on the Job:
- Writing database codes in SQL and using APIs to connect to systems to manipulate data
- Develop and test user interface features
- Writing code in Azure Ops and testing
- Identifying bugs, correcting code, and security defects
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.
Desired Qualities, Skills, and Knowledge:
- Experience developing code
- Great communication skills
- Can work well within a team and independently
- Problem-solving
- Good troubleshooting skills
- Grade 4/C in Maths and English or the equivalent is required for this role
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- £14,000 per annum
- Monday – Friday 9 am – 5 pm
- 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays

Your Training with Baltic:
With our unique apprenticeship programme, you’ll build an impressive range of coding skills and learn to thrive as a junior developer. On completion, 95% of our learners remain in full-time employment or progress onto our Level 4 Software Developer qualification.
