The Opportunity
As part of our growth into a digital product company, we are seeking a Principal Product Manager to join our Product Leadership Team.
This role involves creating our partners product strategies and ensuring we deliver the most value we can for them and their users, so they reach their goals.
What a typical week might look like
Creating product strategies for clients where we deliver high value to the market regularly
Driving product development and the product roadmap with the delivery squads
Stay informed about changes in industries, and support the team in developing and embed the changes
Support team members to ensure they have the necessary guidance and resources to deliver projects at a high standard and advance in their careers
Operate in a supporting, coaching and facilitative role, helping teams solve their own problems while occasionally taking a hands-on approach to critical issues
Training and growing the product team based on objectives for the year
Growing and building our in-house product training for Product Graduates and Product Owners
Who you will be supporting
Our People
Line-managing a quad of product people, supporting them to develop their careers and coaching them to enhance their skills and deliver results
Understanding the skill gaps within the squads and contributing to training, hiring and onboarding to fill the gaps
Supporting our L&D team in curating and delivering content to the product squads and business
Our Clients
Supporting the sales process, both early client engagement and ongoing product estimation
Proving consulting to our teams and clients to achieve their strategy, business objectives and product delivery
Understanding the needs of the client and their product, as well as your product colleagues’ goals and preferences to make sure the best team is delivering for the clients
Helping the delivery of a product through strong product leadership and hands-on support
Our Processes
Keeping up to date with the industry and technology developments, and understanding how this impacts our products and the development of the team
Shaping our product processes through product reviews, knowledge-sharing and introduction to new ways of achieving the team’s goals
You’ll be great for this if
You have experience in managing a team of product people
Ability to coach, motivate and performance manager your team to deliver impactful results
You value developing and nurturing talent in your team
You have deliver multi-products, from ideation to launch and beyond
You have a strong background in consumer mobile apps and/or retail & loyalty product management experience
You are skilled in stakeholder management, both internal and client-side, with the understanding the value in keeping wider stakeholders aligned
You are delivery-orientated. You understand that technology products are to server business needs, which involves the balance of cost, scope, time and quality
