Programme Assumptions Lead (DAREO)

Salary: £52,084+ depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Working with internal stakeholders and partner organisations (national and international) to develop and maintain the programme’s assumptions database
- Engaging with FCAS delivery leads and teams (nationally and internationally) to manage interfaces, inputs/outputs and dependencies
- Reviewing and validating programme assumptions to ensure coherency across stakeholder groups
- Ensuring effective communication and configuration control of information
- Supporting business planning, prioritisation and decision making activities
- Defining and implementing robust management plans and coherent programme schedules
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with other team members and stakeholders
- Supporting overall project management planning, management and review of the Strategic Planning team activities
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
- Experience of influencing outcomes with direct and virtual teams on national and international programmes
- Ability to effectively interface with customer and industrial stakeholders at a senior level
- Experience of complex through life product, solution development and system integration programmes
- An entrepreneurial and systems thinking mind set with the ability to shape strategies and solutions in a highly complex context
- Degree level or equivalent, ideally working towards relevant chartered professional qualifications
Desirable
- Experience of working internationally with government and commercial stakeholders

The Strategic Planning team:
The team sits within the Future Combat Air System (FCAS) programme. They are responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust set of programme assumptions, defining and prioritising programme risks and ensuring the appropriate mitigation tasks are being undertaken. They validate risk mitigation evidence and collate the benefits to support the preparation of programme business cases on an international level.
