Tools Programmer

Lucid Games Ltd are looking for a Tools Programmer who is passionate about working in a cross-discipline team environment to develop and maintain tools which improve the overall pipeline, they want someone to join their growing team to work on an exciting new project.

Responsibilities

  • Design, create, document, maintain and improve tools for all disciplines.
  • Work closely with the entire development team cross discipline to create & maintain tools which improve the overall pipeline
  • Work to continuously improve the user experience and performance of our in house tools.
  • Creating easy-to-use tools which allow for seamless and quick iteration of titles
  • Maintaining the tool sets and fixing bugs.

Required Experience

  • Demonstrable skill with at least one high level programming language (preferably C++/C#)
  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills to collaborate with development teams
  • Knowledge and experience using other scripting or programming languages such as Python, Perl, Powershell etc.
  • Excellent problem solving and code optimisation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills to collaborate with development teams

Desired Experience

  • Several years experience working in the games industry
  • Working with source control software such as Perforce
  • A working knowledge and  familiarity with Jenkins and JIRA.
  • Unreal Engine 4 development experience.
  • Experience working with a title through its entire life cycle to release.
