Role Summary

Yozu are on the lookout for an enthusiastic, gifted individual with a proven interest and ability in Software Development to join their team of engineers. You will be helping them develop applications that interface with a number of their products and projects on behalf of some of the UK’s most recognisable household names.

Ideally you should have real-world experience of designing both user interfaces and experiences using a variety of tools in a professional, academic or personal capacity. A talent in other languages such as Ruby, JavaScript, and Java is also highly desirable.

The role is based in a vibrant area of Liverpool City Centre, in a relaxed and enjoyable work setting. You will be working in a highly collaborative environment and have input into all aspects of production.

You’ll be perfect for this position if you’re keen to interact with clients from the beginning of a development process and throughout, working alongside a supportive team of junior and senior software development engineers, to produce a clean and effective application.

Required skills

  • 2+ years of experience of developing ‘full stack’ web or mobile applications, either in a professional or personal capacity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Enthusiastic and motivated personality
  • Ability to demonstrate past code and projects via Github or similar
  • Solid understanding of OO principles
  • Natural ability with computers and technology in general
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and diagnose in a sensible and methodical manner


  • At least a 2:1 undergraduate degree in a related field or further qualifications
  • Industry experience of developing large-scale software and services

Technical experience of

  • Frameworks and platforms such as Rails, React, Angular, and Cordova
  • Testing frameworks such as Jasmine
  • Automation with tools such as Ansible, Capistrano, or command line scripting
  • Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services Platform, or similar cloud platforms
