Senior SHE Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior SHE Manager to join Edwards abatement solutions in Clevedon.

Mission –
Reporting to the SHEQ & BPI Manager, ensure that all who work at the Clevedon Product Company, are able to carry out their roles safely and with minimum adverse impact on the environment. To provide direction and leadership to the Clevedon site management team on SHE related matters. In so doing, ensure all compliance, legislative, safety and environmental responsibilities are adhered to.
Definition, implementation and continual improvement of the SHE management system at Product Company Clevedon ensuring alignment with Global SHE Management System and ISO Standard requirements. Ensuring that the SHE activities are aligned to the achievement of site OGSM objectives.
Main Responsibilities –
• Ensure that the SHE Management System (set out in Risk Control Elements RCE00 through to RCE28) is effectively implemented at the Clevedon site.
• To define and implement an effective strategy that continually improves the Safety, Health and Environment Management System at Product Company Clevedon in line with Atlas Copco global standards, international standards and other relevant interested party requirements.
• To develop and manage the internal SHE audit plan and internal audit process in line with the requirements of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 working towards and integrated SHEQ approach.
• To monitor and report on the compliance status of the business SHE Management System procedures, international standards, relevant SHE legislation and Responsible Business Alliance requirements.
• To collaborate with and influence global SHE and Quality functions to deliver business improvements in line with Product Company Clevedon Requirements
• To support Global SHE team with integrated business process development opportunities.
• To conduct audits globally in line with global Audit plan requirements
• To be the subject matter expert on the practical application of SHE processes within the product company.
• To oversee the project management of SHE business process improvement projects
• To promote and influence a positive Safety culture within the product company
Experience & Skills
• 5 years SHE experience preferred.
• Membership of professional body IEMA, IOSH.
• Report writing and presentation skills.
• NEBOSH Advanced Diploma in health and safety management or Level 6 equivalent essential.
• Diploma in Environmental Certificate preferred.
• Recognised expert in the practical application of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 & ISO 9001 standards.
• Microsoft Office applications.
• Coaching, listening and questioning skills.
• Demonstrates strong self-awareness and self-regulation especially under times of pressure.
• Able to manage complex improvement projects.
