Earlier this year, we launched a new course on InnovateHer Online- Discover Cyber Security. In this beginner’s course, users will take on the role of a Cyber Security apprentice in six interactive lessons. Helping them solve real-life problems. Knowing what cyber crimes are and how to protect yourself from them is important, so we created the course to help students do this.
It’s a great way to develop tech skills, but wind down for the end of term.
So, what are the benefits?
The course links with your curriculum. So you know that students will be going on a learning journey that is fully relevant to your teaching, marking an ideal close for end of term learning. For example, the course reaches Gatsby benchmarks 2,4 & 5, so students will be:

On Tuesday, July 16th at 2 PM, we’re running our next event for all secondary schools. A way to celebrate both National AI Day and the end of term,
This free virtual event will educate and inspire students on AI. So they can understand this new and on-trend technology more for now and the future.

We’re conducting a survey aimed at gaining valuable insights into the perspectives of 11 to 16-year-olds. All about their future career aspirations, attitudes towards the Technology Industry, and perceptions of potential barriers.
We believe that by maximising participation in this survey, we can gather comprehensive data that will inform and enhance our efforts to support and engage young individuals in shaping their future careers, particularly within the dynamic landscape of the Technology Industry.
To achieve this goal, we kindly request your support in sharing the survey with your students.
Through entering the survey your students will have the chance to win a PlayStation 5, a prize that we believe will inspire and motivate young individuals to share their valuable insights.
The survey is here and the deadline for entering is July 25th.
Celebrate the end of term through everything we’ve mentioned above!
But there’s also the option for your students to spend their summertime developing skills in their own time via InnovateHer Online. It’s there for your students (aged 13-17) to use at any time and is completely free. They can learn and develop in multiple ways.
